Tali Shemesh was born in Jerusalem and graduated from the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in Jerusalem. Shemesh is a valued documentary film director. Her films include "Miss Fat and Beautiful" (1999), "White Gold Black Labor" (2004), and "The Cemetery Club" (2006). Her last film was featured in the Cannes Film Festival and won the Golden Dove Award at the Leipzig Festival.
